Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) is an evidence-based therapy that focuses on improving meaningful skills such as communication, social interaction, daily living skills, and positive behavior. ABA uses individualized strategies to help children learn in ways that are supportive, structured, and developmentally appropriate.

ABA therapy can benefit children and adolescents who experience challenges with communication, behavior, social skills, self-help skills, or learning. Services are individualized based on each child’s strengths, needs, and developmental goals.

Independently Me ABA provides services to children between 18 months and 15 years of age. Service availability may vary based on clinical need, location, and staffing.

Services are currently provided in natural environments such as the child’s home and community settings. Providing therapy in familiar environments helps support skill generalization and real-life success.

In-home ABA therapy is individualized and often play-based. Sessions may include structured teaching, natural environment learning, skill building through daily routines, and positive reinforcement to support progress in a meaningful and engaging way.

The number of therapy hours is determined through an ABA assessment conducted by a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA). Recommendations are based on clinical need, assessment results, and insurance guidelines.

Your child’s care team may include:

• A Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) who oversees assessment, treatment planning, and progress monitoring

• A Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) who provides direct therapy under BCBA supervision

All services are supervised according to professional and ethical standards.

Yes. For in-home ABA services, a parent or legal guardian must be present in the home for the duration of each session. This requirement supports client safety, treatment integrity, and caregiver participation as part of the treatment plan.
